BALI TREK PASS ITINERARY
DAY 1 DEHRADUN TO SANKRI VILLAGE
Sankri is the first stop in this exciting journey. You will be fascinated to know that Sankri remains the base camp for many exciting treks. Sankri is near Dehradun and you can catch the early morning bus for sankri from Mussoorie bus stand in Dehradun. The drive will be 200 km and 8 hours long.
The drive from Dehradun to Sankri is extremely beautiful. The valleys while traveling just look extremely beautiful. Sharp bends along the way do some times looks scary but it is really adventurous to cover them. Soon this you see the beautiful village of Sankri after this long bus journey.
DAY 2 SANKRI TO SEEMA
We will have to go further deep from Sankri. From sankri visit taluka which 12 km away from sankri. Taluka is a very beautiful village here in the Jaunsar region. You will be mesmerized by the beauty of this small hamlet. Sankri to Taluka drive is really a mesmerizing one. You are around enchanting peaks all along. The drive is completed in only a few hours.
From Taluka, we have to go to Seema which also remains the first camp for this trek. From Taluka via Supin river, you can trek towards Seema. It is 8 km which can be completed in just 1.5 hours. While the road is motorable but sometimes due to heavy land sliding it remains blocked. It is better to start trekking from here only.
DAY 3 SEEMA TO RUINSARA TAL
After a night stay in Seema today is the day when you will be going for real adventures. Wake upin the early morning have a good breakfast gear yourself for a long day full of the trek. From Seema the trek to Ruinsara Tal is of about 18 km. After climbing for around 2 hours and you get to see the stunning view of dev thatch meadow.
The beautiful meadows of Dev thatch are extremely beautiful. You will be mesmerized to see the beautiful velvety meadow. The meadow is around 2 km in length and its feels awesome to trek over this. But after Traveling furthermore you will find yourself in the forest area of Ruinsara.
DAY 4 RUINSARA TAL TO BALI BASE CAMP
After reaching Ruinsara Tal which is at an altitude of 3630 m you can explore around and see the beauty of this beautiful place. You can see the beautiful lake around which can you can camp and see a lot of birch trees and this place can be a perfect camping site.
From the Ruinsara Tal, we will move further ahead to the advanced base camp. The beautiful base camp is surrounded by majestic Swargarohini peaks all around. The trek is a little tough this side by if you are able to do this you will be welcomed with these majestic peak views.
DAY 5 BALI BASE CAMP TO DAMINI FOREST CAMPING GROUND
The toughest of the toughest are tested here. The trek from here requires great patience and strength both physical and mental. From here you will surely need the trekking gears like crampons and ropes. Start your day early as you don’t want yourself to be troubled by continuously changing weather. Start your day as early as 4 am and take out these gears.
You will be welcomed by the tough terrains but exquisite views. The beautiful silver shining snowfields will swoon you away with its beauty. After trekking, further one can reach the majestic and famous Bali Pass. Just explore around and see the majestic terrain and beauty of this world famous pass.

After the trek towards the Yamunotri side you will reach the Damini Camping Ground. Damini camping ground today will be our base camp before heading back to Dehradun.
DAMINI FOREST CAMPING GROUND TO JANKI CHATTI
From damini forest go towards Yamunotri where you can pay homage to the holy site of the origin of the Yamunotri river. Then trek down to Janki Chatti and then you can drive to barkot here, from where you can take a bus to Dehradun.
Bali Pass Trek Solo Experience
Being considered one of the toughest treks in not only Uttarakhand but whole India Blai pass trek is always what trekkers look for. This trek is only for trekkers who have already covered some difficulty in trekking and have some experience of it. While if you are a beginner I recommend you Triund trek or Indrahar Pass trek which are fairly simple and easy than this.

Best Time For Bali Pass Trek
The best months for Bali Pass Trek is from May to June. The second best time frame is after monsoon season or from September to October. At this time only the pass can be approached as around the year the trekking route is covered in very heavy snow. The trek remains fairly inaccessible during the whole year other than the months mentioned above.
In these months the weather is clean and the temperature is also not that cold. All year long the area suffers a heavy change in climatic conditions. Be it snow fall during the whole winter season and heavy rainfall during monsoon season. The snow is so dense that only during around May the trail becomes accessible.
Just make sure that you take all the necessary items of clothing and camping gear. Even in summers when City like Delhi receives temperature around 40 degrees celsius Bali pass temperature hovers around good 10 to 15 degrees celsius.
