I think the people who told you to go to Wanchai were having a little fun at your expense! Why go to Wanchai? If your brother is living in HK, he should have told you about the rip-off strip clubs et al in Wanchai as everybody knows about it, it's as common knowledge as that the Star Ferry stops at TST.
