Had a okay stay here at Holiday Inn Bur Dubai. Location is great, less than half a block to Bur Jurman Metro station with red and green line at that.
Check in was slow and we were given a king suite. More of a traditional style decor but was clean. The king bedroom was also good, strong wifi and a great bed. The bathroom was clean with separate shower and tub. The shower good be renovated because the tiny tiles are coming off, we used the bathtub instead. Breakfast was good with mostly traditional food, their tea was amazing. I didn't have any issues with noise and slept fine but found out that there is a 'happy ending spa' in the hotel.
The spa rents from the hotel and not affiliated with the hotel but they use the hotel's name insert loopy emoticon here. It definitely tainted my views on this hotel. There were a lot of kids and families staying here but there were also a lot of businessmen staying here too. I was uncomfortable after I found that out.
It's disappointing because I really like the location of this hotel with great restaurants closeby but I'll just stick with The Palm next time I'm in Dubai. My only criticism would be the chairs in the main restaurant with are the most uncomfortable I have sat in for a long time! I suppose it gets the breakfast guests in and out faster!
