It's a nice open square where to take a walk. At night, in particular at weekends, there are young prostitutes hanging around. You recognise them because they are usually in groups of two. They want money for sex or free drinks and food. The area around the Opera House is quite nice. Going into the Opera House is expensive No thank you!! Take a seat outside and enjoy the comings and goings of people moving through the square. The Odesa Opera House is in a lovely part of the city and is bordered by beautiful gardens.
The building is elegant and is well worth inspection. The Odessa opera house is mixture of diffrentvstyles but who cares, it is just beautiful! It looks a bit diffrernt from different sides. I was also told they the house is protected from pidgeons poo by predator birds who live on the roof, fascinating! This square is clean and well maintained. On the western side of Opera, there are numerous fountains. To get the ticket to Opera without prior booking is very difficult.
